Experience and the courage to try new things are what has made Delico so successful over the last four decades. The company can now celebrate over 400 products, 80 different suppliers, the successful expansion of its B2B and B2C business, as well as growth in its workforce from 2 to 17 employees.

Delico takes over the operational business of affiliated company Gemperli AG as of 1 January 2017, extending its business activities in the field of commodities, focussing on canned fruit and vegetables, dried fruit and nuts.

Delico continues to grow strongly, acquiring new office space in the neighbouring property at Bahnhofstrasse 6.

Delico becomes the general agent for Kikkoman, the global market leader for soy sauce. In the same year the company develops another strategic business area: non-perishable food (ambient food).

With its “Mini Windy’s”, Delico launches the first frozen mini-dessert in Switzerland. An item which remains popular on the market to this day. The product range is continuously expanded with various general agencies for frozen specialities.

Delico launches frozen apple doughnuts in the Swiss retail trade. The company also starts to import frozen fruit and vegetables on a grand scale from France and Poland for Swiss food producers.
